• TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE GIpSynoise TOOL

It is important to remind that the Gipsynoise project aimed at proving the feasibility of such a tool: we present the course of the project , the architecture of the tool, as well as the various features and outputs.

Project achievement
From 2002 to 2005, the partners of the project, divided into a technical committee and an operational committee concluded the tasks, surveys and information dissemination activities envisaged within the program.

Architecture
Based on the Geographical Information System Arcview8.3, the GIpSynoise tool uses CadnaA calculation core.

Feature
The GIpSynoise tool proposes various features to answer the regulation and to urban arrangers' requirements : management of scenario, noise maps, comparisons,  statistics and countings.

Outputs
The various outputs are optimized and can be easily re-used in reports documents and pictures.
