Internoise
2004
We told about our projet in Prague this summer, at Internoise
2004. In August, you will be able to download a first
paper about the architecture of the software, and another
about the projet, its organisation, and relations between
partners.
Results concerning INRETS’s questionnaire
This report, carried out within the framework of the
GIpSyNOISE project, addresses the question of the presentation
of information by noise maps. After a review of the
literature on noise mapping, expectations of the cities
and those of the public through 2 exploratory surveys
are addressed. The insufficiencies of the current maps
are presented as well as the points of divergence and
convergence between the cities and the general public.
Architecture
All data are stored in Arcview databases. The input
files for CadnaA are prepared automatically in the appropriate
format. Acoustic calculations are then performed, and
results are sent back to Arcview in a grid form. Then
they are stored and visualised on a map.
